Since our September 7 update, the TribeTight app and TribeTight Chat have kept growing. This roundup gathers the changes in one place so Family can find the new tools and see what is still being worked on.
📸POSTS, PHOTOS AND FAMILY BUSINESS
The Member Feed is built around recent Family posts. Members can share multiple photos in one post, and readers can open the photo they choose from its gallery. The posting flow waits for image uploads to finish before publishing and keeps the draft if publishing fails. Authors can return to a published post to edit its words, add photos, tag additional members and save it, or delete the post. New tags send the selected member a notification.
💬REACTIONS AND CONVERSATIONS
Posts now offer Like, Love, Funny, Sad and Concerned reactions. Press and hold Like to reveal the choices on a phone or tablet; the fist uses a brown skin tone. Members can comment, share and save posts, with conversations available beside photos and videos. Links in posts and Chat are easier to open and share, including preview cards where available.
✉️TRIBETIGHT CHAT
TribeTight Chat has its own app identity and installation path while staying connected to the main social experience. Direct and group conversations support attachments, reactions and sharing. Group creators can manage conversation members. The composer sends messages with Enter, and the Chat interface has received mobile and tablet layout and media-preview fixes. RunTell placements appear within Chat.
📞CALLS AND NOTIFICATIONS
Chat includes audio and video calls, group call controls, joining and hangup improvements, and incoming-call delivery work. Mobile notification delivery has been updated, and the app offers an installation and phone notification guide. Calling and notification behavior can depend on browser and device conditions, so we are continuing real-device checks.
📅THE TFU CALENDAR
The calendar now has places in TribeTight and Chat for TFU events. Admins can create and manage events, select members, add an event image, set reminders and share meeting details. Members can view an event, RSVP and use its call link. Calendar invitations and in-app reminders are part of the current app flow. Google Calendar synchronization is not connected yet, so TFU events are not automatically copied to thefamilyunites@gmail.com. We will announce that connection separately once it is working and verified.
👥FAMILY, GROUPS AND DISCOVERY
Profiles, Pages and Groups remain part of the social experience. Family tagging and profile banner controls have been refined. Group conversations now better support member management and live-call joining. Search, the Gallery, Stories and Family Business give members more ways to find the people, moments and community activity that matter to them.
🛍️MARKETPLACE AND SWAP MEET
The CornerStore and Swap Meet stay inside TribeTight. Recent work has improved mobile marketplace controls and added a trade flow in Swap Meet for offers, negotiation and acceptance. These spaces are meant to help Family discover products and exchange value within the community.
📲INSTALLING THE APPS
TribeTight and TribeTight Chat have separate install identities, including a dedicated Chat listing through Forge and desktop installation support. The main social app and Chat still work together, with layouts being refined across desktop, tablet and phone.
